Citizenship refers not only to the fact of belonging to a country and holding a passport issued by that country, but also to the rights and responsibilities associated with being a citizen of that country.

ႏိုင္ငံသားဆိုတဲ့ စကားလံုးရဲ႕ အဓိပၸာယ္ဟာ တိုင္းျပည္တျပည္ရဲ႕ ပတ္စပို႕ကို ကိုယ္ထားရံု၊ အဲဒီ ႏိုင္ငံသားျဖစ္တယ္ ဆိုရံုနဲ႕ ျပီးျပည့္စံုတာ မဟုတ္ပါဘူး။ ရပိုင္ခြင့္၊ တာ၀န္ယူမႈ ဆိုတဲ့ စကားလံုးေတြပါ တြဲလွ်က္ပါပါတယ္။
